PACE condemns zionist attack on al-Aqsa mosque

Zionist troops firing at worshippers
defending the al-Aqsa mosque

Assalamualaikum and greetings,

PACE (Palestine Centre of Excellence) Malaysia condemns the zionist occupiers and the Israeli government for the latest aggression on the al-Aqsa mosque by jewish settlers. Such acts were premeditated and coordinated by the zionist authorities to desecrate Islam's third holiest mosque and to destroy it in order to build a jewish temple on its ruins.

PACE commends the quick reaction of the Islamic movement of the 1948 occupied palestine and it's prominent leader, Syeikh Raed Salah for organizing the defense of the mosque by the residents of Baitulmaqdis who responded to the call and stood their ground, protecting the mosque with their bare chest. The brave stand by unarmed Palestinian people is a clear message to the zionist entity that any attempt to touch the mosque will be foiled. There is no shortage of Palestinians and muslims from all over the world to come to the defense of the al-Aqsa mosque and ready for the ultimate sacrifice. On the contrary, Syeikh Raed Salah, correctly warned that Netanyahu and the zionist will suffer the consequence of their actions.

PACE is perplexed by the complete indifference and pathetic behaviour of the leaders of muslim nations who has been keeping silence on this latest zionist antics. Leaders of the member states in the OIC are reminded of their obligations towards al-Aqsa mosque, the defilement and burning of which by a zionist settler in 1969 became the cause for rallying support of every muslim nations which lead to the birth of OIC. Today PACE again challenge the leaders of muslim countries to rise up to the occasion and state their stand on this latest threat on the beloved mosque.

PACE also urge the United Nation General Assembly to pass a strong resolution condemning the latest zionist agression in the strongest possible term. Israel and the US may remain traditionally defiant, but it will help form an international public opinion against Israel. The international community must show solidarity with the Palestinian people in the defense of al-Aqsa mosque, faling which would mean sanctioning the desecration of places of worhips and religious significance.

PACE urge muslims particularly in Malaysia to keep abreast of the situation and to support every effort to preserve the sanctity of the al-Aqsa mosque. It is an obligation and responsibility no muslims can shirk. At this moment when pilgrims are preparing for the rites of Hajj at the holiest mosque Masjidil Haram at Mecca and a visit to the second holiest Masjid-an-Nabawi in Medina, they are reminded to pray for the safety of Masjid al-Aqsa which is now being defended by our Palestinian muslim brethren who stood alone without recieving any assistance from their neighbouring Arab/muslim countries.
